Long Beach Island NJ Proposal & Engagement Session at The Gables | Leo & Shelby

I have shot many proposals before, and I absolutely LOVED this one.  The whole family was involved in the engagement, and Shelby had no idea.  I was extremely nervous because I was prompted to act like it was a typical Long Beach Island beach portrait session. Her dad hid the boards containing "WILL YOU MARRY ME" in the sand before hand. I had to prompt the family to face towards the bright sun so that when it was time, Shelby wouldn't see them get the boards.  THE WIND WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY.  Shelby kept turning around to fix her hair, but I quickly suggested that she hold her hair with her hand.  Everything turned out great and Shelby was so surprised.  Afterwards, the family celebrated at The Gables in Beach Haven (LBI), and we were able to get some shots in their beautiful garden.
