A fall wedding at cedar bonnet island estate
You know how sometimes somebody’s words just stick with you and you can remember exactly how you felt when you heard them the first time? Well, in the most humble way, that’s how Natalie made me feel. She called me and said she didn’t even want to look at another wedding photographer, she knew I would be perfect for them. This made my heart full, and of course I was ready to photograph their wedding at Cedar Bonnet Island Estate located right off the bridge from Long Beach Island, NJ.
A little bit about the proposal, Greg is a scallop fisherman so Natalie is always sending him off for weeks. (I can relate to this because my husband, also called Greg is a big fisherman). Before he left for sea, she met him at the Barnegat Light Inlet, where he proposed to her.
I love this venue because there are so many rain options, and it felt like everywhere I turned there was something new I wanted to shoot. It rained on their day, but you can hardly tell in the photos.
The day started in the beautiful bridal suite, and I didn’t even know where to begin with details- there were so many gorgeous accessories. Her dress fit her perfectly, and I especially loved the sleeves.
Greg’s reaction to seeing Natalie during the ceremony was everything. Also, shoutout to the officiant who went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get the shots I needed to get.
One thing I really loved about this wedding was that at the end Natalie and Greg had all of their guests go to the after party, and they shared a last dance. So sweet!
