A winter wedding at clarks landing yacht club

Winter weddings here at the Jersey Shore bring some of the best sunsets, and Clarks Landing has a great dock to take bride and groom portraits on. Below are some of my favorite wedding pictures from this amazing venue!

How they met

Danielle and Evan met at their college Johnson & Wales, in Rhode Island. They lived two floors away from each other. Danielle had high school friends that lived right next to Evan, and they all started hanging out together. After a month of hanging out Evan asked Danielle to be his girlfriend.

The Proposal

It was the day after Evans birthday, and he requested they go to a restaurant called Mariana Grill. He kept saying I want to get a new picture of them together. Their families were there waiting on the deck outside. They walked out on the pier by the boats first because he said the restaurant wasn't open yet. Once they got to the end of the pier, he had Danielle look over the railing and he grabbed her hand. He said she was his best friend and there was no one else he would want to spend the rest of his life with. He bend down on one knee and he asked her to marry him. Once he stood up, their families cheered! They then went back to his parents house and celebrated with their family and friends!

The First Look

Their First Look was at the gazebo in front of Taylor Pavilion located in Belmar, NJ. Oh and, was it raining? Yes. Did it affect our moods? No way! That’s what umbrellas are for :-)

The Ceremony

Their ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Church in Spring Lake, NJ. A bag piper greeted their guests as they walked in. Upon their exit, Evan dipped Danielle perfectly on the steps of the church. They were even able to have family portraits on the church steps too!

*Tip, consider not having a receiving line after your wedding ceremony. This adds twenty minutes to your timeline that could possibly take away from your cocktail hour.

Right after the ceremony, they had their wedding portraits taken on the bridge and surrounding area of Divine Park including the Spring Lake Library & Community Center.

The Reception

Danielle and Evan had their wedding reception at one of my FAVORITE venues located in Point Pleasant, NJ. Clarks’ Landing is the perfect mix of elegant, and nautical, and they have one of the best cocktail hours I’ve seen.

They danced on the clouds to the song, “My Person” by Spencer Candall.

Can you believe Evan made this beautiful greenery wall! I love it! Perfect for pictures!
