Hotel LBI New Years Eve Wedding on Long Beach Island

Their Story

Megan and Michael met at a mutual friend’s BBQ. Shortly after, they had their first date in Philadelphia. A few years later, Michael proposed on the beach in Long Beach Island. They spent the day with my Megan’s sisters and Michael's family on their boat. Megan thought she was going to a party for Michael's sister in law, but when they came back in the house, it turned into an engagement party!

LBI’s Newest Hotel and Wedding Venue

Located at the entrance to Long Beach Island in Ship Bottom, NJ, Hotel LBI is a magnificent new hotel and wedding venue. As you drive over the causeway bridge, you can’t miss it! Previously known as The Estate Room, this venue offers views of the Barnegat Bay, and it’s a few blocks from the ocean. Wedding guests can stay and enjoy the pool and rooftop bar! This venue can hold up to 200 wedding guests (without Covid restrictions, of course), and the food there is INCREDIBLE.

The bridal suite is gorgeous and offers great lighting and openness for getting ready shots. There is also enough privacy to hide away for the First Look, and their front porch is perfect for family and bridal party portraits.

I saw this custom driftwood in the hotel suite, and I knew it would make for pretty pictures of the invitation.

The bride and bridesmaids had some fun in their robes before getting into their dresses!

Megan’s father’s reaction to seeing his daughter for the first time was so sweet.

Michael was so emotional when seeing his bride for the first time during their First Look.

Megan’s wedding dress was elegantly beautiful. Her long cathedral veil offered some options for some creative portraits.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Megan and Michael’s wedding looked a little different than other weddings. They had to trim their guest list down from 200 people, to around 60 people, making it a micro wedding. There wasn’t dancing, and masks were worn the whole time (unless eating). Although the rules were strictly enforced at Hotel LBI, Megan and Michael had an amazing day. As a vendor, I felt extremely safe, and I would like to thank Hotel LBI for that.
